Our French friends love them some sweets. Qu’est-ce que vous désirez comme dessert? What would you like for dessert? Creme brulee, clafouti, souffle, and sorbet are classic French desserts. The somptueux and saccharine goodness of desserts make it irresistible, and with the dawn of modernism, pastry chefs are trying on new shapes and unlikely flavors. This set contains 9 pcs. of delights in an accompanying chic ribboned box.

The scales feature 6 pieces of fruit and vegetables and 5 weights for measuring. The cash register features an opening till with 6 coins and chalk. Complete your child’s whole kitchen experience with this French Bakery set which includes 8 pastries, 4 types of bread, 2 presentation boxes, 3 chalk board slates and a box of chalk. Your child can pretend to own and manage her own patiesserie – she can bring in her desserts sets for more product variety.
I have always been gushing about toy foods, specifically sweets and pastries that Haba and other toy food manufacturers put out. But seeing a bunch of play food of greens puts the FRESH in refreshing.
Kids are indeed difficult to feed. They have this imborn repulsion with vegetables and fruits. While it all depends with the parents’ training, veggie-hating kids need more than coaxing to give in. To teach your mini doppelganger that vegetables and fruits are friends, let him play with them – literally.
The vibrant colors and slice-assemble system of these play food will encourage interaction and add enjoyment to your kid’s play. This collection is a great addition to a play kitchen.

Little girls just love imitating their moms. Aside from playing house and playing mom to a walking and talking baby doll, they love playing kitchen and going to toy stalls and fancy plastic markets. Apparently, toy stores and makers have picked up on that trend, thus the growing popularity of play kitchens. Play kitchens help develop interactivity, creativity, and camaraderie among children.
If your daughter is one of those mom-wannabes, why not assemble her her own play kitchen? It does not only endear you to her, you can also expect her to be helping you in cooking for special get-together occasions when she’s old enough to handle hot pans and slopping cooking oil.

I have nothing against technology and game consoles, in fact I have tried spending a huge portion of my high school semestral breaks and vacations playing an RPG (role playing game) with my younger brothers, only taking breaks for meals and going to the bathroom. And presently I am wanting a PSP so I can play Little Big Planet and Loco Roco. Despite my enthusiasm with game consoles, it has occurred to me multiple times that spending hours in front of the Playstation, bashing computer-generated villains and pixelated baddies, and saving princesses and comrades, is a waste of time. Those hours can be spent more productively by honing your craft and learning new things. Holler if you agree with me.
My son is only a year old, and I know I can’t keep him away from the wiles of technology. However, I plan to get him involved in more productive activities when he grows up so he gets to maximize his potentials. And just when I thought I have to buy him the same art materials I am using, I came across these new DJECO art sets at Peanut Gallery!
Creativity and time will never be wasted with a great set of paints, even with little kids.
Djeco Watercolour Workshop $36.95
Personally, I think watercolor is the prettiest medium of art. It has this certain whimsical appeal for me because of its softness and ability to blend seamlessly. With this, your kid can learn to create masterpieces with watercolors as early as 8 years old. Let him appreciate colors and water in an artsy way.
Djeco Gel Pastel Workshop $42.95
Do not limit your child to a single medium; let him discover new styles and techniques using a different set of materials, just like this pastel set. Pastels can go rough or smooth, extremely vivid colors or softened hues, depending on the artist’s preference and personal style. No need for brushes, let him do hands-on painting with pastels.
Djeco Gouache Tubes (Paint) $19.95
Gouache is more versatile than any other medium. It can go with brush or with bare hands; it can be applied thickly or sparingly. With these vibrant colors, your kid can create works of art straight from his mind and be a Michelangelo of his time. Packed in tubes instead of little pans or bottles, gouache can be neatly squeezed out in necessary amounts so you don’t need to worry about washing his pallet often.
