In the world of Sylvania families of different forest species live in peace and harmony. The usual barn animals – sheep, cows, deers, goats, pigs, dogs, ducks, cats, and mice share their acre of woodland with koalas, hedgehogs, meerkats, beavers, squirrels, otters, moles, badgers, monkeys, boars, pandas, and even polar bears and penguins.
The SYLVANIAN FAMILIES play specific roles, and each family live in a distinct, special house. The word sylvan means of the forest. Sylvania is portrayed as idyllic and ideal, where species of different kinds unite and contribute to their own community. Each character has a special role in the community, from a knowledgable tour guide to a sweet chocolate maker.
How did Sylvania come to be? It all started with Ike Mulberry.
