Going to the mall with a baby who needs to be nursed is no problem nowadays. Most shopping malls already have a breastfeeding section, and there is heightened awareness with mothers who prefer to breastfeed their babies. When the going gets tough – or when the baby is calling, rather – you have to be prepared to feed your baby without needing to change clothes and pulling up shirts.
The seamless camisole is elastic and made for nursing, so you can wear it when you’re pregnant or when you have already given birth to a breastfeeding baby. An alternative is Maternity Plus’ feeding tank, which serves the same purpose. These are both ensured to make feeding easy and comfortable to both mommy and baby, without sacrificing style.
Cover up and add an oomph to your getup with Bowerbird Vintage’s I Love Lucy Cape, which is dusty rose in color and drapes softly from the shoulders. It is made of a floaty semi-sheer fabric with design reminiscent of the 70′s when it’s all thin waists and babydoll look. Pair this with RIPE’s Mischa maternity jeans, which is straightcut and has an elastic band at the waist to accommodate a baby bump.
If you are breastfeeding your baby, it is important to keep track of feeding times, and Mothers Minder’s reminder bracelets are chic and fashionable ways of reminding you of baby’s hungry hours.
Keep yourself looking fresh and pretty with Urban Rituelle’s Raspberry lip balm to prevent chapped, dry, and pale puckers. This lip balm has natural beeswax, sweet almond oil, olive oil, and shea butter, plus vitamin E and sunscreen, to keep lips soft and protected.
Put the lip balm and your other beauty products (and baby’s essential things, of course) in the chic Storksak Elizabeth nappy bag. Unlike other baby bags, you can even use this bag even if you don’t have a baby, because of its beautiful leather body and classy design. Made out of textured cow leather, this bag has a top-zip closure and features a removable thermo-insulated bottle holder and a changing mat.
If you know someone who’s a hip mommy, you can give her a gift from these selection of items. It is proof that motherhood – and nursing a baby – is not the end of chicness and coolness.
The return of the Get Ups, and now it’s for the mighty preggies! Holla if you’re a gorgeous pregnant woman rocking that beautiful baby bump.
The white Lounge Around Top can be worn as a mini dress or with jeans or leggings. It is made of light weight cotton to achieve that flouncy and soft look to its layers without the wearer looking bagged down. It has ribbon trimmings and would be great for any season with the right complementary accessories and clothes; the Seamless Camisole can be worn under for colder days.
A pair of leggings is a great bottom to this flouncy top, such as the RIPE Cotton Blend Ankle Maternity Leggings, its tightness complementing the top’s layered structure. Straight leg jeans such as RIPE’s Mischa Straight Leg Maternity Jeans and Ninth Moon’s Flat Front Jeans are also great alternatives for moms who are more hip and doesn’t want a bottom that clings to the legs. Both jeans have support bands for the belly.
Time for another of my out-of-the-blue get up excursions, and now I’ve decided to create a get up for ladies and hip mommies purely out of Bowerbird Vintage‘s online store – because I love love love vintage.
I love everything in this getup, most especially the Alice in Wonderland-inspired Rabbit necklace. Body-hugging singlets are great with capris or skinnies, and those cute decorative flowers are just fab. The darkness of the top contrasts with the capri’s glittery fabric. Too bad they don’t have shoes in their store though. Ballet flats would be great in this set.
Chic, cool, and classic as a lady should be.

Fashion never ends, it just goes around the corner and comes back in a few years.
My mom always says that, thus her ridiculous collection of age old clothes way back when I wasn’t even born. She told me, in my horror, that I’ll be inheriting all that stuff, including her numerous bags and shoes (which never fits me because my feet are slightly bigger than hers). Nonetheless, I couldn’t disagree with her fashion motto. She wore high-waist skinny jeans when I was still 3, and now high-waist skirts, jeans, and shorts are getting back in the trend. I’m imagining it would save me a lot of moolah if I’d just grab my mother’s cabinets and bring it along with me.
With the return of vintage florals and oxford shoes and lomography cameras, I am developing a certain liking to vintage things as well, especially dresses. I was delighted when I was directed to BOWERBIRD VINTAGE in my feature hunting. They have a divine collection of vintage dresses, and I found the vintage bag that I’ve long been looking for that’s in today. Here are some of my favorites from the store:
I have been looking for these kind of simple yet elegant vintage bags and clutches for a year now. Though these were used with a dress during the old times, they look perfectly cute and chic with shorts and a beautiful feminine blouse today. What really attracted me to this kind of bag is its thin metal chain strap. That’s androgynous and chic at the same time.
These dresses just won me over, especially the white one. I guess I like the fact that, though the black dress is short, there are no unnecessary and distracting holes and cut-outs anywhere else. It’s plain simple, conservative yet sexy, and elegant at the same time.
Those are shorts down there, wide-legged and with elasticized waist plus a standout red chic belt. This is the romper of the vintage days. I can definitely wear this with loafers, ballet flats, or strappy sandals. It looks very comfortable and relaxing.
Don’t tell me this isn’t sexy. This evening dress really caught my eye among the group. It’s Egyptian-like neckline and body-hugging bodice will flaunt the right curves of any woman. It’s open back has a very sexy X-strap, and the black bodice is embossed linen. Pretty yeah? Unique too. Above all, it’s sexy without being seductive.
I can see these jackets anywhere today, even though I’m in a tropical country. These vintage jackets look cool even with shorts or skinny jeans and ballet flats, as what I see here. I want one for the rainy days.
Pageboy hats and lockets, my ultimate vintage desires. Seriously. I can’t seem to find pretty AND cheap ones here in my country.
Vintage is classic, they go hand-in-hand. Vintage is one style that never goes wrong nor goes away for a long time. You bet these vintage stuff will be back in less than a decade.
